Members goth70
Picked up the Page/Plant Walking into Clarksdale album on a whim at a used record store yesterday. I think I like it pretty well. Unfortunatly it was recorded at the height of the anti-guitar solo 90s so there are only a few solos, but they are really good ones. Plant sounds a little restrained but sings pretty well. Some of the songs are kinda errie sounding. I really like some of the textures Page comes up with there and his tone is fantastic. Does anyone know what amps her used on there? Do you think its a smaller Marshall combo being used ? Anyone else find the album interesting?

Members Willyguitar
It's better than most of their other solo efforts... but nowhere near as good as the latest thing Plant did with Alison Krauss. I quite liked the single.
Members GRANKOR
Wasn't Page using a Fender Tonemaster then?
Members Flogger59
Wasn't Page using a Fender Tonemaster then? Among other things like a 5150 and an AC30. There was quite a pile, IIRC. I tried to like it, it had the elements: Page, check Plant, check Abbey Road Studio 2, check Worthwhile tunes, uuhhhmmmmm......
