I swapped different pups into it, but no matter what I did, I just couldn't get a tone that impressed me through my gear. No matter what pups were in the guitar, there's a syrup quality to the overdriven tone through all my pedals and amps. I wrote a thread detailing my dissatisfaction saying I'd be selling the guitar, but something happened. I put the stock ceramic pups back in the SE C_22 and I plugged it through my new Suhr Riot pedal. Magic grind! All my guitars sound good through the Suhr Riot pedal, but the SE C_22 seems especially suited for this pedal. I may be keeping this SE after all. I have a lot of nice gear, but I guess I was missing the right piece of gear for this guitar to really impress me until I got the Suhr Riot pedal. I'll bet those of you who like this guitar have gear that's voiced differently than most of my stuff. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I like the amp, but don't use it much because it's not quite loud enough to keep up with a drummer without a PA.
