Members nuke_diver
That's far more ambitious than I'll ever be I barely survive my encounters with one instrument My current goal is to learn a song that Jkater plays, it's the first song I've tried in an alternative tuning which is both interesting and difficult (changing 1 guitar for 1 song and then changing it back for the other stuff I do)My longer term goal is to somehow get better at hearing the music. My ear is very poor. I don't hear chords or keys I just hear the song. This makes figuring out stuff especially on the fly very difficult and frustrating. I'm just too much left brain and not enough right

Members GreatDane
cool... what do you record with? i'm using a computer-based set up. i run Sonar on a PC with an Echo Layla soundcard. for mics, it's nothing too fancy; SM57, sennheiser and Blue. i would love to upgrade to a more streamlined laptop-based setup. any suggestions? Problem is that I dont know how to buy a good one. i'm going to have about 5 or 6 sax lessons to get me going... i've already chosen a teacher.. i had a good chat to him on the phone about what to look for in a sax... he was extremely helpful... maybe you could go down a simlar route

Members mightysasquatch
After playing guitar and piano for 20 years, I just got a drum set and started practicing, just trying to keep a basic beat. It's official, I really suck at drums.
