Members goosefartfan
I'm interested in buying a set. But on flea bay, they have PU's that they claim are Classic 57's, but how can I be sure from the pics? Yes, I'll check out the seller feedback, but even if I get them, how do I know I got the real deal??

Members BryanMichael
I have a set I will sell you.The Gibson Classic+ is in the plastic case with the stickers on it- never installed in a guitar, although it has some scuffs on the face of it But I got it used- it's the real deal.THe neck pickup is a bit more of a mystery, I bought it from a reliable source that said it is a used Gibson 57 classic with a lightly aged VOS cover on it (slightly matte finish with a bit of age). It looks lovely, but I've never installed it. I have no way of ACTUALLY verifying it's a 57 classic, but it was from a Luthier that got a bunch of parts from the Gibson custom shop.I was going to install these in something, but decided to buy something else I also have a pair of Epiphone Les Paul pickups (the newer ones, which sounded pretty decent!) that came out of my Epi LP standard.Gibby's = $140 shipped for the pair or $75 for the 57+Epis = $40 shipped for the pairI have 100% positive feedback on Ebay and I've been on the forum a long time. PM me

Members BryanMichael
THe 57+ is a nickel finish/covered - they don't come with rings. Usually they have a sticker on the bottom and a "Patent Applied For" (PAF) sticker on the bottom too. They are TWO conductor wire with the vintage shielding...oh, and if it helps, I find them to be rather heavy feeling.Anyway, If you want just the 57plus that one I can gaurantee is a Gibby, although I trust that the other one is too.
