Members Hurtzher
I have never ever wanted a V before....but, for some reason I want this... http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibson-Limited-Run-Tribal-V-Electric-Guitar?sku=527772 Not a bad price I guess. I even like the pickups.
Members tiltsta
I like the black version they had as a guitar of the month last year, but I could deal with it in white too. Not sure about the graphics.
Members aenemated
the "tribal" graphics are about 15 years too late. that {censored} was a silly ass tattoo trend from the mid 90s that's thankfully mostly over; except for the unfortunate bastards that're stuck with big, uncoverable tribal tattoos. lol@them. Members StillRock
Kind of looks like Gibson wants some of the BC Rich Kerry King V thunder...

Members Carbohydrates
Saw one of those, as well as the tribal Explorer, in Seattle GC. They look stupid as {censored} to me.
Members bigconig
A Gibson V with a 60s neck and a kahler? I would love one. I'm not into tribal either, but I would love to have one.

Members Muddslide
Meh. When it comes to Vs and Explorers (and, hell, Modernes for that matter) nothing has ever topped the classic natural korina look to me.
Members lewzer
Oh, if that were solid white I would be GASing hard for it. I still hate that I missed out on the white 84 Explorer "reissue."
Members Mygal
Nice guitar although I don't see the point of having a kahler tremolo bridge with no locking nut...
Members tiltsta
Nice guitar although I don't see the point of having a kahler tremolo bridge with no locking nut... The tuners are locking, but I agree that nut binding and stuff could be a real problem.

Members GCDEF
Nice guitar although I don't see the point of having a kahler tremolo bridge with no locking nut... I had one of the shred Vs - the black ones in this thread. It was a tuning nightmare. That's why I sold it. Some nights it was a rock. Others I couldn't get through a song. Members bsman
If I was 30 years younger, I'd hit that like a fastball right down the middle. However, I think it would make me (a guy in my early 50s with short hair) look pretty ricockulous...

But I've got a tribal tatt as well, and dont have the least problem with it, or what people think. I've become an old {censored} that does what he wants. I LIKE IT! Members Carbohydrates
The tuners are locking, but I agree that nut binding and stuff could be a real problem. I don't know why Gibson keeps thinking that locking tuners will perform the same function as a locking nut.
