I mostly play rhythm and textural lead stuff... letting notes ring and whatnot. But I've been working on the lead bits of Sweet Child O Mine. The intro, the little lead bit that is at the end of each chorus, then the first half of the solo.

Also been noodling on the solo to Time by Pink Floyd.

I really haven't tried to learn other peoples songs as I'm more interested in doing my own {censored}..but I am now kind of changing that attitude to build up my chord vocabulary.

So I've been learning No Rain by blind melon. Pretty easy in terms of rhythm but I want to learn the solo note for note and I've got it but I'm about 20 bpm shy of getting it up to tempo. It's that last petatonic triplet run down the scale that's slowing me down.

Well, just got done for the night since the wife won't let me practice past 11 I've been wanting to work more on my rhythm so I spent most of the time on

Beatles, A Hard Day's Night

Monkees, I'm a Believer

Rush, Something for Nothing

One of these is not like the other....
