Members z1221
I am about to own the guitar of my dreams I have always wanted a Stratosonic and I found one on craigslist for $450. It is the model that only has a bridge pickup but the guy hasn't played it too much and it comes with a case. Good deal or no deal? It's either this or a G&L Tribute ASAT. Members brianeharmonjr
Do it. Especially if it's a blonde one. I always lusted after those.
Members Sheraton
Sounds like a good price. I seem to remember looking at a couple of the 2 pickup models around $700. What color is it? I love the sunburst ones but I'm not so hot on the yellow. I remember that Tweedledee sold one a ways back. Maybe he'll weigh in.
Members DriveBy
I had one for awhile. You'll need a new pick up from the start. I thought the stock Fenders were a bit harsh.
Members bsman
Stratosonics are uber-cool to me. Sort of a Fender Les Paul Jr... I'm surprised they didn't sell more of them.
Members linusâ„¢
good price.
Members z1221
It is in the dark red color. I look at it Saturday morning. If it is even half-way decent, I'm going to buy it.
Members valentsgrif
I have the sunburst 2 pickup P90 version. The pickups are perfect, can do the classic gibson tone or sound like nice jazzy humbuckers, just experiment. You'll love the neck and fretwork. My #1 electric. Members *BLEEP*
These are bolt-on neck, but 24.75 inch scale -- correct?
Members marauder6666
24 inch scale bolty. Here's mine. I didn't think the stock pickups were bad, just uninspiring. Now loaded with BKP P-92s (and LP style knobs). They've got the best wrap around bridge ever made too.
Members Sheraton
Crap, GAS!!!!! I have this coming today to fill that niche but now I'm thinking of moving it and looking for a Stratosonic. CRAP!
Members Tweedledee
The one pickup Stratosonic is one of the few guitars I've sold that I really wish I had back. That thing had an incredible neck. $450 is definitely a good price and if I found one for that, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Here's the one I had: I also had a red two pickup one, but I actually liked the single pup one better.
