Members rdpar
got a wolfgang special . it sounds kinda brittle in bridge position. tried dimarzio fred to no avail. any suggestions please. The paf pro in neck position sounds fantastic. I'm just looking for a little more warmth in the bridge position. thanks

Members cvogue
Had the same issue with my Wolfie special... never swapped pickups out I just sold it. It does sound brittle and harsh... I guess it's designed to cut through when you're playing with a boatload of gain. In my FrankenKramer I had a Duncan '59 in the bridge and it was nice and warm but still got a good early EVH sound out of it. Might be worth trying out. But I think that floyd is a tone sucker too. you have to play around with height and bring the screw pole pieces up some. check this vid plz
