Members Virgman
The guitarist is ok but the singer needs to lose some weight.

Members humbuckerstrat
RIP, I really liked his playing with the Carpenters. I wonder if he was the one that did the lead playing on Sweet, Sweet Smile and their remake of Please Mr. Postman. There was some good guitar playing on those songs. Members metalheadUK
RIP. That Goodbye to Love solo was a big influence on me as a kid, and I suspect a few others as well.
Members harold heckuba
The Carpenters had some great guitar work, even in their radio singles that were huge hits.

Members bigspan
Rest In Peace I remember the interview Mr. Carpenter about the guitar playing on that song - how the guy at first did just a very restrained, chordal thing that was "nice" and Mr. Carpenter said "what was that? C'mon! Rock out!"
