Guitar Suggestions

I'm trying to look for a guitar that's designed for lower tunings. I currently own a cheapo B.C. Rich Warlock. I use Ernie Ball 'Not Even Slinky' strings, which are thicker to produce a lower note. Over time though, the neck warped due to higher tension. Because of this, the already bad intonation from the original crappy guitar has grown worse, and at this point it is unfixable. And really annoying.

I'm looking for suggestions for a guitar that is desinged for lower tunings and the higher string tension. The name Schecter comes to mind, but if anyone can point me to a specific model [or another brand] that is used for this application, that would be great. Here's some specifications:

-25.5 inch neck

-Preferably active pickups [EMGs]

-My price range is about $300-$500

Here's the tuning I use:

C F Bb Eb G C

I also use a drop style tuning too:

Bb F Bb Eb G C

That's pretty much it.

Yh I'd go for a baritone or get a guitar that does more than just metal, because you don't want to be selling it down the line for half of its orginal value.

Thats coming from the guy who sold his entire rig when he grew out of liking metal :/

I don't mean to {censored} in your Cheerios, but that's ridiculous. .013s tuned to C put about 111lbs of pressure on your neck, while .010s tuned to E standard put about 130lbs. Check it out here: http://www.mcdonaldstrings.com/stringxxiii.html. Not to say you shouldn't get another guitar - no need to justify that here - but I'd bet your guitar just needs a few adjustments, and could be put back into fighting shape with relative ease.

Carry on.
