Members chimi
Hey guys i'm debating of trading my soltero for a jackson rr5 that has a part of it's headstock broken off. I wanted something pointy but not sure it would be worth my time to fix this thing up to the point where it plays well. My biggest worry is that it will NEVER play well or stay in tune because of the headstock. My gut is telling me to not do this, but on the other hand it would be quite a deal if i could get it working. I'm thinking worst comes to worst i part it out on ebay... Members poolshark
Headstock repairs are common, but diminish value significantly; furthermore, there's no guarantee a headstock repair will work in this case. Unless the Jackson is worth the trade solely in parts value, I'd walk away.
Members Ital_Stal
Smithshred? if so hes a solid dude but keep in mind he had tried to repair it before and it parted again. in the longrun you have to ask yourself what would be worth more in accordance to personal preference and resale value. Personally, i wouldn't.
