Members twofoolsaminute
I think there's a line between genius and noise. Jimi seemed to hop back and forth across it fairly often.

Members thick_mike
Gimmie a break with the "if you don't get it" B.S.That's just classic rock arrogance. I think Hendrix made some amazing music...but the idea that everyone has to think that is just stupid...and I'm sure they "get" him just fine. As hard as it is for some people to believe...no ONE person or band is the end all be all of music. And as much as I do like hendrix...there is some youtube stuff of his that is just {censored}ing awful. As an absolute Hendrix nut...I can't disagree with the statement about the quality of some of the stuff that has been released, but that's not Jimi's fault! However, if you think that he had a recording career in his own right lasting about 3 years, it's hardly surprising that there is some dross out there. :poke: It's a bit churlish to complain about the bootlegs when he wrote and performed some of the most amazing music ever recorded (try Little Wing, Wait Until Tomorrow, Nightbird Flying, Red House, Fire, Voodoo Chile (Slight Return), House Burning Down, Ezy Rider etc.). Members mediocreplayer
Never cared for him. The Wind Cries Mary, Little Wing, and Hey Joe are lovely tunes. The rest I find too noisy. Lots of people worship him, and that's good too.
