Members Alecto
When it comes to rock n' roll, there's Before Hendrix and After Hendrix. He really changed the game in so many ways. If there was an "I'm not worthy" emoticon, I'd be posting it here.

Members dparr
It all comes down to the many great songs that Jimi wrote. His playing was just icing on the cake. Members soundcreation
Gimmie a break with the "if you don't get it" B.S. That's just classic rock arrogance. I think Hendrix made some amazing music...but the idea that everyone has to think that is just stupid...and I'm sure they "get" him just fine. As hard as it is for some people to believe...no ONE person or band is the end all be all of music. And as much as I do like hendrix...there is some youtube stuff of his that is just {censored}ing awful.

Members notjonahbutnoah
Yeah I totally love hendrix. I also totally love the ramones and when people don't like the ramones, I say ok. I'm sure they get it, unless they're stupid. Which is likely. Hmmmm. Anyhoo No one talks much about his voice. Sounds like he's got mashed potatoes in his mouth kinda but I {censored}ing adore the way he sang. If it was some other guy singing I would like his stuff far less. Members Matt Howell
Electric Ladyland is my favorite rock album of all time. Every song, except Little Miss Strange (wtf), is a masterpiece. Have owned so many copies of that recording.

I think the problem is that you're kind of implying a certain "cool" factor to those who like jimi, and as of late data is inconclusive on how special and cool you are based on your opinion. But of course its your opinion, to which you are perfectly entitled.

Members acousticDave
I honestly can't believe anyone could NOT like Hendrix, especially if you play the guitar. Electric Ladyland is my favorite rock album of all time. Every song, except Little Miss Strange (wtf), is a masterpiece. Such a great album... and I actually dig that song! Very creative solo. Members john_p_t
I think Cry of Love holds up pretty well. At least half of it is amongst his best stuff: Angel, Drifting, Ezy Rider, can't argue with those. it has got some real crap on it, though. He had some excellent hats, too. Members john_p_t
I often wonder what he'd have gone on & done had he not left us when he did... well, eventually he'd have got old and lame like everybody else, but I think he definitely had a lot left in him. He was just getting started really.
Members Kid Klash
I honestly can't believe anyone could NOT like Hendrix, especially if you play the guitar. Being old enough to have seen him play several times (including as the opening act for The Monkees), I'd have to say just about everything was special about him. According to the ladies known as "The Plaster Casters", his 11" member was pretty special too. Even before he went out on his own and was playing in R&B bands, he was special. Kind of ironic, really, to be bemoaning the state of modern spelling in a thread about Jimmy Hendicks.
