Teenage fanclub Tone

This has been driving me mad for weeks - and I'm hoping someone can help

 

Does anyone have an idea of what gear is used to get that tone at the start of Teenage Fanclub's song Empty space ?

 

I have fiddled around in Podfarm, searched on the Line6 site all to no avail- any ideas?

you talking about the overdriven "lead" after the piano intro?

 

sounds like a big muff through a Fender Twin.

Yeah. Pretty generic fuzz tone there. Shouldn't be too hard to cop.

 

Try finding a Dinosaur Jr. patch and then turn the gain down some.

Thanks - I will have a scout around the line 6 site later - the "fuzzface" model on my guitar port seemed to wooly - but that may be the settings I had
