Members Woody_in_MN
Howdy. I will soon be getting an Ibanez AF75 Hollow Body electric. I mainly want to use it for jazz, vintage, and maybe some rockabilly. I'm looking for string suggestions. I was thinking flat wounds, but also heard flat wounds kind of limit the flexiibility of style. One person suggested experimenting with the Markely Helix strings. Any other suggestions? - w

Members Elias Graves
If you want to hear it acoustically, go heavy. Hollows like fat strings for sure. I say try a bunch and see what works best. EG
Members CoqBelliqueux
I had these on my archtop last year. Very smooth, last a long time, no jangle! I'd get them again if I bought another jazz.

Members humbuckerstrat
I use Santana Big Core 10.5-48 on mine, they sound good. I once tried the SBC 9.5-43, and they sounded terrible. I need bigger strings to make my hollowbody sound good.
