One piece mahogany body weight?

For a one piece mahogany body with a one piece mahogany neck/rosewood fingerboard, would it be a very heavy guitar? Thanks

It will depend on the specific pieces of wood. Two pieces of wood of the same species will vary in weight.

It's all over the place. Depends on the species of mahohany, probably how it was prepped, etc. Could be really light or really heavy.

Is it going to be chambered? How thick is it going to be? Whats the shape ect.

+1. It also depends a lot on the thickness of the body. LPs are really heavy because their bodies are 2ish inches thick. A guitar body that is only 1.25" thick with a compact shape (compact like an SG) will usually be fairly light (unless it is made of solid ebony or something similarly heavy).

 

Mahogany is a pretty light instrument wood overall, but certain species (like african mahogany/sapele) can be a little heavier.
