Members VeritasAequitas
How about custom building your own at Warmoth.com. You can definetly make it your own however idk how it will increase in value....just a thoughtEDIT: I have been beaten to it
Members wagdog
There are so many of them. I'd be looking for something with a flatter fretboard radius (9.5" at least), a nitro finish, a lightweight body (read no American Standards) and some righteous pickups. Wildwood has these Thinskin AVRI's for around $1600. 9.5", SRV neck. Man, spending some time over at the wildwood site makes me want to sell everything and buy a new strat there! Those guitars are just !!!!
Members brilthorladros
The resale value is a secondary issue....boy you guys are touchy. I just want a Fender Stat with a neck as thick as my arm and unfinished. Maybe some noiseless pickups. The neck is the most important component to me. I would prefer it to come factory built but I'm not sure they even make them like that. PS thanks for the heads up on warmoth. I have a tele I built from there. The neck is a friggin tree trunk! Bad ass!!!!
Members badbrain
I haven't found any of the current or recent Fender offerings to be as nice as my Warmoth fatback neck. 1" from nut to heel, it's a beautiful neck. Lots of people rave about USCG, I hear they'll make you anything you want. But forget about any partscaster increasing in value, I'll never get out of it what it cost me, but I knew that going it
