Members Orange Jackson
Rumors abound about what you get with each. What is your experience? Really interested in examples where someone had one type on and guitar and then switched the saddles to the other type. I've played Strats with bent saddles and currently have the solid steel type. My impression is that the bent saddles sounded a little more open, and perhaps sustained a bit better too. But they were different guitars, so I'm really not sure. Members EADGBE
Just curious. Are the solid steel saddles cast or machined down from larger pieces?
Members jelloman
I replaced the stamped saddles on a 2-post Gotoh trem with cast saddles from a REALLY good hardtail bridge once...other than the inproved appearance I did not notice any immediate difference...in the long run the cast saddles broke fewer strings and kept them aligned better...
