Members jda9876
I am looking to put a single coil sized humbucker in my Squier '51 and I am having trouble wading through my choices to figure out what I want to get. I am going for early Deftones sound if that helps. I was looking at SD Hot Rails or a JB Jr., but was also wondering if the GFS Lil Killers would get me there. I'm open to any other options if you have them. Thanks
Members mnhhngbfs
The little killers will do it if you grab the second hottest one. wouldn't want to put the hottest one as the single coil slot is almost at the neck position.
Members tlbonehead
I have the hottest GFS in the bridge of a Tele copy and it sounds really good, split and HB. It really isn't as hot as its rating or reading. But for other positions I'd be inclined to go with the 10K version.
Members jelloman
isn't the neck pickup on the '51 tele sized? ...if I remember correctly mine was...so you may need to enlarge the hole for it...

Sounds like the Lil Killer is a pretty popular option and will probably be the way I'll go. Thanks again.
