Members Padrino
So the other guitarist in my band just bought a Wilshire. I've seen them, but never played one, and am curious what people around here think...so... Thoughts?
Members vintage clubber
seems like an alternatively shaped SG type guitar to me...
Members 's mel gibson
A thin plank. Not that, that's a bad thing. Not a bad looking guitar. If I tried one and liked it, I'd buy it. I just haven't seen one in our local shops.

Members Metalrulez
I have one of the White Customs and love it. Lite as a feather a good neck the pickups sound good enough and it is fun to play. The bat wing headstock is the coolest out there bar none like the body an Epiphone original. Members Padrino
yea he got the one with mini's, im a bit jealous, as i've always loved the mini tone. they have a really cool vibe around them and he had heard they're pretty good so he pulled the trigger. I'll post some pics when he gets it here in a few days

Members dc*
I've recently got an original late 65, early 66 Wilshire, sadly it lost one of its mini buckers in the dim and distant past but its a cool guitar with a unique look. The neck on the originals is quite narrow (similar to a Ricky's) and takes a bit of getting used but over all their very well suited to rock and punk music and the fret access is fairly reasonable to! Members stormin1155
I have one with the standard humbuckers. Got it from MF for $225 shipped, which is a real bargain. Very nice player.. the frets nicely finished, tapered neck with a bit of meat to it as you move up the neck. The stock pickups were pretty bland, but with a set of Gearhead Supreme Alnicos it holds it's own pretty well with my Gibsons. Very light and comfortable. The placement of the vol/tone pots is a bit awkward, but that's about the only thing not to love about it.
Members xStonr
I picked up one on the cheap when they first came out. I like the retro look and the light weight body but didn't like the pickups. Changed them with a set of Toneriders alnico iv pickups. Sounds great now. I have to agree, I ended up paying $184 shipped and it is a nice guitar for what it is. I hated the pickups at first, but after I changed out all the pot and the tone caps, they do sound better. I do plan on swapping them out sometime though, but I'm in no big hurry right now.

Smart man. I've found that you can do as much good with that simple procedure than swapping the pickups. Those crappy pots are the bigger culprit IMO.
