Members smorgdonkey
I think she is very unique and attractive. With the range and power to be able to do Heart stuff you should listen to Heartless Bastards if you don't mind doing some rockin' tunes that haven't particularly been extremely popular. The song called Grey would be an excellent choice.

Members Reverse Entropy
It's not from that period, but SOUNDS like it is - "Be Free" by The Cult. http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/s/Be+Free/7oK8g Alison Krause does "Oh, Atlanta" but I'd recommend just doing the Bad Company version. http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/s/Oh+Atlanta/1vTgNH I like Kenny Wayne Shephard's cover of "Them Changes" http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/s/Them+Changes/1PtbhP
