Buck Cherry's cover of "Pump It Up" by Elvis Costello :rawk:
Doyle Bramhall's "Green Light Girl" :rawk::badump::rawk:
The Sam Roberts Band
Jamiroquai's "Black Devil Car"
Jet's "Rip It Up"
BeBop Deluxe's "Ships In The Night" and "Axe Victim"
Tragically Hip's "On The Verge" and "Little Bones" nice guitar growl, too.

....became a big fan of Korean band Cherry Filter - their singer Cho Youjeen has one of the best, gritty rock voices I've ever heard; Pat Benatar caliber, with such range and control it's almost "stunt vocals," but she's really tasteful.

revisiting old favorites :
Kazumi Watanabe Spice Of Life
Al DiMeola Elegant Gypsy, Fandango

audtioned a bunch of John Abercrombie and liked it :thu:

Ralph Towner was pretty but didn't have the fire I was wanting on that particular day.

Candy Dulfer - too syrupy and not enough heat for my taste.

I had forgotten about Ted Leo and the Pharmacists until this came out. Seriously top 3 album of 2010. Easily beats most of the 'indie' garbage out there.

Bumping a great thread, and a couple more discoveries.

Emma-Lee is a friend of a friend who's making waves up here:

Rammstein's an old favourite, but I'd thought I'd drop it in, just 'cause. "Brutal yet sexy" was one friend's description:

And one of the funniest vids I've ever seen:
