Members stratocaster202
Uhhhh, the fact that Charles Mingus isn't on that list should be a sign that the list is BS
Members kulardenu
I would have liked to seen Kim Deal & Johnette Napolitano shown a little love myself. They are both driving forces to their bands sound and their playing defines their most popular songs.
Members xStonr
Another bs list. I'm surprised it wasn't published by Rolling Stone

Members tim gueguen
Any such list is subjective. Repeat this as a mantra. Note that it's apparently supposed to be a list of bass guitarists, which eliminates any URB player, and it was apparently based on reader submissions, so you're going to get some odd choices simply based on who bothered to write in. Given that, kind of a surprise someone from Primal Scream or associated with Curtis Mayfield made the list at all. Or Carol Kaye.
Members *BLEEP*
That list is dog{censored}! Those are they kind of idiots that would've picked Sid Vicious (i.e. -- he couldn't play, but he sure was famous). Let's see... They have THE person (Jamerson) which every bass player that plays some form "pop music" (rock, soul, etc) is emulating to a certain extent -- down near the BOTTOM of the list (!). And... In addition to the obvious missing people already mentioned, NO: I would have at least given a thought to: Geezer Butler, Trey Gunn, Michael Rutherford, maybe even Mike Watt. Members pekelnik
If you forget about the order, there is Jack Bruce, Chris Squire, JPJ, John Entwistle and Jaco Pastorius. Never heard of the guys at the first places.
Members zantor9
yeah paul gray...not so much. I like Dream Theater but John Myung best bassist of all time? I can maybe name a few songs with prominent bass licks. Cliff Burton and Geddy Lee i guess are good but not up that high. And yeah! Where is Lemmy and Geezer Butler??? The entire time i was thinking...okay next should be Lemmy...nope.
Members noisebloom
I stopped at #25. I'm not in the mood to click through 25 pages to rack up page hits for their sponsors. I really hate when websites do that {censored}.
Members soundcreation
Some of you need to take a chill pill. It's just a fan vote list. Mellow out. Why do people get so bent out of shape over these popularity contests?

Members Surrealistic
... Mellow out. Why do people get so bent out of shape over these popularity contests? Have to say I laughed out loud at the guy getting his knickers in a twist (in the second response on the site itself). I liked his reference to "musicle surveys" and especially his suggestion that the list should contain "John Bottom (led Zeppelin)"
