Members fishtankdork
well i sold a pedal last week on ebay. standard procedure done it a lot. i didnt have time so i let the ups box it for me. it was already in the manufactures box so i figured how hard could it be to pack a box in a box. before shipment i checked pedal out. hooked it up to a one spot and gave it a whirl and it worked perfectly. powered up and sounded great. i shipped it via ups and within an hour of shipment communicated the tracking number and what day it was arrive which was friday. thursday night i get a very pissed off angry email asking if i am trying to cheat him. how come he hasnt recieved pedal yet, etc etc. i said check your tracking number, it arrives tommarow. i sent you an email with this information. he gets the pedal friday morning at noon. i get no email so i fig well that was a sorta a smooth transaction (sheesh) sunday night at 9pm i get an email asking if i ever used a power cord with the pedal. it looks like the casing has been broken for years and he is not very satisfied with the pedal. ive only ever used this pedal with a one spot so i know it was perfect before sending it out. i doubt it got broken in shipment. im guessing he broke it maybe on purpose bc of buyers regret. i told him he can ship it back and i will refund him and then go to ups for an insurance claim bc it was 100 percent operational before shipment. is there any other way to handle this. i sent a perfect pedal and i feel like its a scam
Members bisticles
You've done pretty much everything that you can and should do. There's no way for you to tell if he's trying to scam you, if he used the wrong kind of power supply, or whatever else might be the case. Hold to your offer, and try your best to ignore the attitude. Members tlbonehead
did your Ebay pics show the end of the pedal with the power input jack?
Members Guitarist970
Sounds like he's trying to scam you. I'd say you've done all you can, but make sure he knows that he is responsible for return shipping to you. If it turns out it is broken, best of luck with UPS.
