Bought a fender 212R and I'm wondering if there's something wrong with it

No, they didn't have that kind of foot switch there. they said they could get one for me though. So what should I do, call them up tomorrow morning and tell them to get me another amp like it? Because that was the only one they had there.

Well if you deside the amp will not do what you need they may give you a hard time on a return if they think it was you that scrathed it up.

Right off you don't really need the foot switch but if you start jamming with others it's nice to have it set up with a a clean and overdrive channel.

Would you return it purely based on the damage to the casing? I tend to think no at the moment. I guess I'm just wondering if it's something to worry about.

I would take it and show them. Ask for a little discount or a new one. What is to lose if you paid full retail?

I don't think I paid full retail though. On the fender site it says the MSRP is 419.99 and there it was 355. Also for some reason he sold it to me for 335. (CAD)

Wouldn't it get just as expensive with shipping? What are your experiences with buying musical equipment online.

I live close to the border so I have things shipped to the UPS or FedEx depot and go and pick it up. It saves me customs and extra shipping from the border to Canada. If you could get someone to ship it USPS, then it would save you some as well. But $335.00 is not a bad price if it's not scratched too bad. That certainly won't hurt it any.
