I keep going back and forth between Nocaster, Filterton, or a Pearly Gates tele. If i build a trad Esq, it will prob be a trad tele pup, with the trad Esq wiring. If I bulid a La Cab, then Filterton for sure. Lately Ive been thinkin about a Gibbons inspired mutt, chopped tele bridge, Pearly gates tele pup with no plate, no pickguard, exposed neck pup route, crapo finish (Or if I coud just find an old bolt on epi LP body, a P90).
