By the way did Rudy buy your other guitar?

I believe so. Sold it to a guy named Rudy but didn't seem to know you. Dunno. Maybe an identity switch or something :idk:

Thanks for the tips on the ad. I do have a trem arm for it. I'll keep all your tips in mind.

Lets hope for some good ju-ju cause someone called about it. First time buyer which I think kind of hurts me in this case because he won't know the kind of deal he is getting.

I appreciate all the feedback on the ad. Didn't really think there would be that much. As for the *Do not reply without numbers* or whatever statement, I see both points. I think it's best to do that though because I have always gotten deals done by attaching numbers or having them attach theirs. Again, its to weed out some "lookers."

I guess I'll update and see how this goes. Hopefully I'm -1 guitar, +$$$ by tonight.

Sell your ad using Craigslist.

Write in ALL CAPS!!!

Make sure to say that it feels and sounds KILLER!!! Its the GREATEST GUITAR you've EVER played, even though you've only played it twice before placing it in a CLIMATE CONTROLLED VAULT.

(Or you can just knock the price down to $225.)

If I'm asking questions, I'm serious. The questions come from poorly worded or vague ads.

I find it helps sales to limit things that might cause a potential buyer to hesitate. Part of selling is answering questions. Sales don't begin with "I'm in my car with cash and I desperately need your exact address so I can hand it to you." They begin with an interested potential buyer who usually has questions that, when answered, will possibly push them towards buying your product.

I realized that you were the serious type. However, for every serious type like yourself, there are at least 10 time wasters. I like to weed them out right in the beginning. I always, and I repeat, always sell what I advertise and never has it taken me more than 3 days. However, each to his own. I know what works for me and obviously you have your reasons for doing things the way you do. Regards, Flip.

clay is definitely onto something here...but he forgot to mention the part that you should ALWAYS include:

"It plays better and feels better than any USA Strat I've ever tried"
