Fender needs to make...

Fender needs to make a good short amp head. Something around '18 inched wide, knobs on the front, around 22w to 30w, something like Supersonic or DeVille type thing. 6L6 or 6V6. Something simple, powerful and portable. People would buy that up, at least I know I would.

I don't know why these company's miss these things that seem so obvious. Like why the hell hasn't Boss/Roland put out a nice line of semi-boutique pedals like Digitech's Hardwire series. No instead they just keep putting out the same old uninspiring boxes.

Come on you big ass companies, get with it!

Love it when people try to diss boss pedals. Easily the brand most used by touring professionals.

Hey, I use them too. But I think that Boss could just be doing much more interesting stuff. Back in the 70's and 80's they were cutting edge, now they are just commercial.

They are very reliable. Most touring professionals prefer time tested reliability to anything else. That's why they are on so many professional's boards. Boutique tone doesn't always come through the big PA system carrying a band mix anyway. It's mostly the bedroom players that obsess about every nuance in their tone.

Thats a fact..I still get a kick out of people who spend thousands on pedals .They have $5000 grand rapid up in boutique pedals and have a $200 dollar amp and $300 dollar guitar ..

Then talk smack about Boss pedals..If you look on the big boys boards you will most likely see Boss distortion and delays,EHX fuzz and Ibanez or Maxon overdrives..

I've long been a fan of Boss pedals and in the last year, I've become enamored with my 40 dollar (pawnshop, LNIB) Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer.

I won't spend a {censored} ton of money on gear since a)I can get it cheap used, and b)I don't have a {censored} ton of money to spend.

I have about 10-13 Boss pedals and I actually use them a lot. They are very solid and durable and they get the job done quite nicely. And if you get them used, they are an even better bargain.

Hell yeah!
I have a GE-7 and a NS-2 that have been kicking for 15 years and no matter what I am playing they are always on my pedal board. Got them for 25 each used, best 50 bucks I've ever spent!

I find it funny that I've seen many boutique delay pedals based on the old DM-2. Hell, the BBE Two-Timer pedal I currently own an use is supposed to be based on the DM-2 except with the option of switching between two delay times.

In part, that's my point. I'm still using my old Boss GT-3 and a few other old Boss boxes (I even have a few MIJ Boss stomps from the 80's). With Boss/Roland's immense resources, is it asking too much for them to surprise me once and a while like EH did with the Micro POG or Line 6 did with the M9? It's been over ten years since Boss has made a new must-have piece of gear.

Couldn't agree more about Fender, but then again, I wish amps were just smaller in general. I'd love an AC30 or a Marshall half stack someday, but I'll probably never get one since they're such a bitch to move.

And as far as Boss pedals go, I'm no tone snob, but I don't really like any of their dirt :idk: the SD-1's alright, but not great or anything. {censored}ing HATE their compressors. I'm a big fan of the delays, though :thu:
