Members csm
Fabulous clip -- note how EC tries to coast and JB won't let him, raising the stakes at every break and goading EC to play his best game. NO-ONE can afford to get lazy when they have to trade choruses with Mr B ... They were great together at the O2 gig back in February.

Members Angry Tele
here is one with the killer harp sound.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USadXlyRM9Y yeah that was pretty badass! ECs tone is not even all that horrible. good one. I think JB looks better with sleeves personally, unless you're Mr T. everyone should have sleeves...Its kind of his bag though I guess lol man, that Tal chick is one sexy bass player
Members stormin1155
This is a tough one... as an overall musician and considering who influenced modern music and guitar playing more, I'd give the nod to EC. But for sheer guitar proweness and genius, JB is in a class all by himself. There are a lot of guys that can sound like Clapton... But Beck.... just when you think you are on to what he is doing he will completely blow you away... he plays with such reckless abandon, and yet it always comes out perfect. Members Angry Tele
I do the Mom test, I call my Mom and ask her if she knows who Jeff Beck is or EC. She's heard of Clapton but not Beck so EC wins. She also heard of Jimmy Page but not Townshend. None of this is very scientific of course
Members craigny
Clapton is great and may be more popular but Beck just f***in rules man!! JB hands down, the guy is amazing!

Members Cobalt Blue
Beck is--by far--the better player, and I believe that it's Beck's inability to sing (and Clapton's ability to sing) is that which might have driven Beck to the level of expression he achieves with a guitar, and made Clapton less needful of doing that which Beck and only Beck can do. Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted May 17, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2010 Hmm, that clip is interesting in itself simply by virtue of the fact that it's a rare occasion where JB is using a pick

Members scuzzo
their styles differ so it like comparing Jimi and Robert Johnson... both huge influences.. pillars of modern rock music... but i kinda like a world with both in the picture..
