Members guitarman3001
I'm trying to find some videos of SRV playing some of his jazzier stuff but for the life of me I can't remember what the song names are. I know there are a couple of very jazzy tunes he plays that are a pretty big departure from standard blues. Anyone know offhand what those songs are? Members chuck1016
Riviera Paradise is the first that comes to mind. There's another really obvious one that's driving me nuts cause I can't remember the name. I can hum the whole damn thing but I don't know the name! argh! It's on the Sky Is Crying CD EDIT: Chitlins Con Carne!! That's the one!
Members guitarman3001
Cool. There's also another one that I've seen videos of on youtube where he just goes off on some smoking jazz licks. Hell if I can remember what it was. Alzheimers is a horrible thing!!! Members metallica_00
Riviera and Chitlins con Carne have already been mentioned, I'd throw Stang's Swing in there too. Lenny is certainly a great clean/softer song, I don't really hear it as jazz through
Members Eddie
I thought about it mainly because of the chords and voicings he uses, which are not that typical of rock and blues.
