Members d_dave_c
So I put in a minimum bid on an auction I had no real business bidding on, and I ended up winning. I thought I would flip it, but DAMN! this thing is nice. Warmoth build with Duncan P-Rails w/ the Triple Shot Rings, plus variax guts from a Variax 600. So it has p-90, single coil and humbucking pickups, plus all the variax options. The auction also included a Line 6 Pod X3 Live, so I sold my X3 bean over the weekend, and another guitar to help offset this. I might just liquidate everything except the telehawk and this. The specs: Body - Warmoth Variax telecaster - Korina w/ Zebrawood top w/ tummy and neck contours Neck - Warmoth Pro 10-16 compound radius Indian Rosewood w/ Ebony Fretboard w/ Abalone Inlay Markers - back is unfinished sanded smooth. Duncan P-Rails w/ the Triple Shot Rings Variax Electronics - LR Baggs Piezo Bridge Planet Waves locking self-trim tuners The Pics (camera acting funky - cell phone pics for now):

Members Selsaral
Jesus, someone put a LOT of work and money into that. Did they get completely hosed when they went to sell it? Looks awesome btw.
Members d_dave_c
Yeah. Unfortunately for him. I got the guitar and the Pod X3 Live for about what the body and neck probably cost him. Maybe even less than what they cost.

Members Kirk_Hamlett
Nice buy! I just completed a Warmoth build and it was not cheap, their bodies and necks are quality. It was a very addictive endeavor, I'm already thinking about doing another but I don't have the money or playing talent to justify it.

Members Steadfastly
Man, that is a great find. I think those P-Rails are the cat's meow; they are just so versatile. It's quite close to what I would like except I would want Warmoth's extra wide neck. It sounds like you got a great deal too.

Members diddybow
I like control knobs and switches but that guitar has too many. They distract from the beauty of the zebrawood on that guitar. Also the control covers on the back take up half of the back of the guitar. Would be nice with 2 control knobs and one switch only with no plates (or minimal) on front or back. Just my opinion.

Members diddybow
The knobs and control covers aren't a stylistic gimmick, it's a fucking Variax. I know that. The guitar just looks like theres too many knobs on it (with that wood). Maybe it would look better (to me) with some tiny control knobs.

Who many think is Ian and has been kicked off this forum before. Ignore him.
