My vote would be for Huey Lewis and the News. Probably Jacob's Ladder. It's not really thought of as far as guitar playing goes but I always thought it was a bit underrated as it's one of the songs that got me into wanting to play guitar. Well, that and EVH.

The average audience gets bored by an average guitar player doing a improv off a pentatonic.

 

 

disagree. how average are you?

 

i feel like thats one of the biggest secrets to guitar playing. simply knowing a few pentatonic licks can make you seem WAAAAY better than you really are (in some cases of course)
