Frets99
Okay just a little OT in this forum but it was such great fun I haz to share!! Second gig out for my brand new U-Bass! Three bands! 6 half our sets rotated 1,2,3 - 1,2,3 with a grand finale of all the bands getting together for 2 songs!! Awesome night! It was too much fun. In the end I'm doing my best GE Smith impersonation, trying to coordinate and highlight soloists and singers over the last couple of songs. It was a blast!! Here's me giving my Martin a workout on an instrumental while my bandmate plays my little U-Bass! And here's one with me on the bass and doin a lil harmonizing. In the first vid, I was like "where's the bass player?!?" How does it work? what strings are on? It's crazy! It's got proprietary polyurethane strings. Each string has it's own piezo element. Solid spruce top and very well made with a lot of attention to the tuners. Keeps tune great! It's made by a company called KALA. It has a great feel to play it and I'll be darned if it doesn't evoke an upright bass.

Frets99
Nice. Nothing like a good gig. It could make you feel great all week. You have no idea!!! Our lead singer moved to So Carolina in Sep. He came back for this gig. We had a little polish up practice on Friday that was excellent. It was like putting on the comfy slippers as we all melted back into each other. Then Saturdays gig. But John was also a member of my church worship team. He told me he was coming to church on Sunday as well and I carved out some space for a couple of specials for us. We sang "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" with the congregation. Not a dry eye in the house!!
