Members billybilly
Hi. I have owned one and they are a beautiful strat. Probably their best feature was the pickups, stock alnico II duncans is a bonus, better than american standards in my opinion. Mine was resonant acoustically, always a good sign. They need and extra spring in the trem as stock they are floppy. I found the action fickle to get right and am not sure why. It seemed the neck stuck out of the body too much. Could be the way the neck and body joints were cut but that could have just been mine. Either way, in hindsight, I could have just sanded it a bit. All in all I would say it's a win for you. Let us know what you think when it arrives. Happy premature NGD!
Members guitarcapo
Buy a used koa Carvin instead. Roughly the same price and ALL koa including the neck with an ebony board. The koa Fender strats are just a veneer on top. They show up on Ebay from time to time. This one sold recently on the Ebay for $575 plus shipping:Check out the way that neck meets the body:Apparently it has 2 coil taps and a phase reverse switch. Not to shabby. Also it has two output jacks (stereo)But you have to live with this nick in it:I don't mind. Way more guitar and made in America. Did you notice the gold hardware, fine tuner Scahller bridge, and neck-though construction?

I own 3 of them. I swap out the pickups for sound so that's not an issue. Build quality is great with these. A real sleeper in the vintage guitar market. Members Khorah.pds
I just got a 2nd hand Koa Telecaster. Imust say I think it sounds great and it seems really well built. The top (although a veneer) is very 3 dimensional and eyecatching. It is also a very resonant guitar which i love and it was a good score off craigslist. The neck is not as good as my american jazzmaster, but it stays in tune and intonantes well so i'm not complaining. I know its not the strat but its the same build quality and factory so pick one up while their cheap!

Members thecornman
anyone own one of these?i have got one coming in a couple of weeks but would love to hear some opinions on them. I bought one when they stoped making them my local store was blowing them out cheap. I ended up having to sell it because i was in need of cash at the time. Still in my pic though. Have not got around to changing it. It was built in Korea. Bass wood body with Koa veneer top so the tone wood is actually Bass wood. Great looking guitar. Well built and sounded great. The best feature on this guitar is the Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 pickups. These were some of my favorite single coil pickups i have ever tried. I would pick some up for another one of my strats for sure if i could find them for a decent price. The neck was birds eye maple with a rosewood board. Looked great and played very nice. I think it had a 12 inch radius and jumbo frets if i can remember right. This is one of those guitars i wish i had kept for sure.

Members misterzachariah
Owned one for four years. Was my main guitar. As many have said, the pickups were great, and they're absolutely gorgeous. Doesn't sound like your typical strat, but that can be a really good thing. The trem does need at least one more spring, as somebody pointed out. Only reason I got rid of mine was that I had a chance to jump on a PRS, and had to sell some guitars to do it. No regrets, but I do miss it.
