Help me decide on pickups of my Hagstrom Viking Deluxe.

I normally play a 1992 American Standard Telecaster that I LOVE beyond words. I also have a 1996 MIM Standard Stratocaster retrofitted with USA pickups and parts, so I have single-coils covered. These two guitars cover about 80% of my needs.

 

I recently picked up a mint Hagstrom Viking Deluxe to cover "Gibson" territory. I am really happy with it, (except the pots SUCK), so I am going to replace the electronics (pots, input jack, switch). The stock pickups are decent, but since I am taking the time to change the electronics in a semi-hollow guitar, I have been thinking of putting in some nice pickups. Humbuckers are great, but I like P-90's too, and was considering making the guitar more versatile by changing from dual humbuckers to a humbucker/P-90

combo. Usually I see a HB bridge with a P-90 neck, but I was thinking of how jazz guitars usually have a neck humbucker only, and Pete Townsend's single bridge pickup P-90 SG Jr. tone on "Live At Leeds" is legendary. Any idea's/suggestions on new pickups for my Viking Deluxe?

I put SD P-Rails in my Viking and it kicks all kinds of ass!

 

With 3 push-pulls I can easily switch between humbucker, P-90 and single-coils independently at the neck or bridge. P-90 tone is the sweetest, but the other tones work really well with a bit of amp tweaking.

I thought the pickups in the vikings were already pretty good from all the vids i've seen of them

They are serviceable but nothing special IMHO.
