First off let me say that I have never been that wild about "strat" type guitars, Fender or otherwise. No particular reason. Just not my thing. Secondly I've always preferred maple FBs over rosewood on a Fender type guitar.

So I saw this Godin Session in a M&P store and I have to admit that I never bonded with a guitar more quickly and more thoroughly than I did with this one. This guitar was made for me. Everything about it speaks to me. The neck, the pups, the frets, even the resonance of it unplugged. The rosewood board is tight grained and really seems to work for this guitar. the pups sound amazing. The HB splits.

Its a different spin on a traditional style. All I can say is find one and try it. I think you'll be impressed. I certainly was.

Here is pic with a cat.

Here is what I've been playing it through.

First off let me say that I love tube amps. I own four. But this rig sounds pretty good too. In stereo. The RM XPR sends stereo to the "line in" of the Power Block. The Crate is just being used as clean power amp. The cab is split into Stereo with two Celestion Hot 100s. It sounds very cool and not a tube to be found. If I find some kind of MIDI controller foot-pedals I may gig with it.
