Members guitarman3001
The other day I was at Sam Ash and on a whim picked up the Dunlop 65 Guitar Tech kit which has lemon oil, string cleaner/lubricant, and guitar polish. Comes with the following: This one says it's not safe for maple fingerboards. Doesn't say anything about applying it to the back of neck that has a nitro finish. The other two below don't say anything about being unsafe for any kind of finish. Are these things safe to use on my satin nitro finished LP faded? Other than not using the lemon oil on a maple fingerboard, am I pretty much safe using them on all my guitars? I have a one with a satin nitro finish and the rest are a poly finish (which I've heard is pretty much indestructible). Also have a combination of ebony and rosewood fingerboards. Sad that I've been playing as long as I have and have never really given much thought to keeping my guitars clean.... never to late to start though. Members Armitage
Dunlop 65 is probably one of the best products out their for cleaning your nitro, or polly guitar.
Members mikesr1963
Lem oil is not used on the back of the neck, just the fretboard wood.
Members McCain
Hemp Oil is non-toxic and can be used in-place of all three.

This is good to know. I usually don't buy too many things without looking it up online first but they had this sitting on the counter and I figured what the hell... Good to know it was worth it! Members bildo
Dunlop 65 has not messed wtih my nitro builds. So it is good to go. Use the lemon oil only on the fretboard.

Members Angry Tele
probably. My Tele came with a bottle of the last bottle pictured and its nitro. I think the p[roblem is with silicon and then only if you want to refinish it silicon does something to nitro I forget what though.
Members Bud M
These bottles have these felt applicator pads in the tops that you have to saturate by squeezing the bottle. Take my advice and hold the cap in place when you are squeezing the bottle, I've had one pop off from the pressure and lose half the contents of the bottle. Members raykramer
you could also consider the string cleaner as an alternative if you like. http://thestringcleaner.com
