Members ringorock
Someone decided to sand off the brand and put stickers in its place......except for the "ars" from guitars....the logo only took up a small amount of space. headstock looks like an ibanez but it is not shaped correctly and the bridge doesn't seem like anything ibanez uses....i would have passed it for a pos but it has grover tuners........for a super strat it only has 21 frets....any idea? Members munizfire
that headstock looks like a bastard son between ibanez/jackson...my GUESS is that it's a cheap copy of a San Dimas or something like that
Members ringorock
yeah it does look like that do you think they'd put grovers on a cheapo?
Members munizfire
well, thats one easy cheap upgrade for a better guitar but my $200 dean ZX came with grovers, and i have seen quite a few economic guitars with grovers...
Members cratz2
Definitely looks low end from looking at that trem... the 4-screw trem. My guess is it's an entry level Korean guitar from 1988 - 1992. As long as the neck isn't warped and if you like the neck profile, my guess is it would make a great player. I think that 4-screw trem is actually a two-piece system, with the 4-screws securing the fulcrum portion to the body, and then the main bridge assembly has the knife-edges that pivot against the 4-screw secured block. That's just a guess, though. I do agree that it's probably a mid-80's, early 90's Korean guitar---also just a guess (it would be nice to know what it says on the stick on the neck's heel, as well the inspection sticker on the back of the neck). I did some research on the usual suspects (Westone, Electra, Memphis, Lotus, Series 10, Cimar etc...) but couldn't find anything with that bridge. Members zantor9
That's just some cheapo starter guitar i'm guessing. None of the specs make it any name brand guitar. I did a lot of what that guy did to my cheap Pre-lawsuit Behringer (BSX Beast in my sig) i made sure no one knows what it really was
Members jumpwin
Looks exactly like a guitar I owned when I was starting my guitar playing voyage. Mine said 'AXE' on the headstock. Had the same stickers in the same place. I got some pictures somewhere, they're old-school 35mm, not digital though. I will dig 'em out and scan them in so you can compare, but they look identical in everything except colour.
