Now I can't even find the "Legacy User Reviews" anymore

I've been away for a few months (medical stuff). Can't find the older reviews anywhere, and I can't even find a place to post opinions on the re-design. I guess they don't want to read complaints anymore. Anyone know how to get to the Legacy Reviews, or are theygone forever?

The reviews fiasco is, I would suspect, even more detrimental to Harmony-Central than was the forums fiasco.

The availability of easily accessible reviews for Christmastime consumers would have brought a lot of traffic to the site, but, just as the biggest shopping season arrived, there were no reviews.

You are probably right. I get the sense most of us forum users here just use the forum but most musicians aren't forum users and find gear info through online reviews. Back in the day, it was almost impossible to google a guitar, amp or pedal and not stumble across it's HC review page. Now most of those indexed links point to a dead space and reroute you to the home page. I can't see a casual searcher spending much time fumbling with the new interface before they give up and continue their search elsewhere.

True. Astonishingly bad timing. I've probably used the HC reviews more than anything else on the internet for the last 10-15 years. Oh well

Yep. Much as I like shooting the {censored} with ya'll, the reviews were a tremendous resource, and the reason I'm here in the first place. It would be a shame if they were lost.

Hopefully all that data is backed up on a server somewhere and just obscured by Jive's {censored}ty software. I'm sure thats the case. HC has made some mistakes but they have to be aware of worth that resource had.

Are the numerous reviews listed under "User Reviews" not the ones you're talking about?

You used to be able to sort my brand, alphabetically, then model, the same way. Then, for some, you'd see reviews back into the 90's, so that you can check out differences between years, waste a lot of time at work, etc. It was good stuff. I've yet to find anything close to that lately.

Yep, just went and looked for reviews of Peavey, no Classic 30 listed. Seems like a pretty standard amp to be missing.

And, of course, there's the extra special feature that anytime you go into one product review, lets say Peavey Penta for kicks ... hm, you read it over, so far so good. THEN you want to check out another Peavey. You hit the back button. Does it take you back to Peavey amps? No, it does not. It takes you back to the unsorted list of amps, where you have to start all over. Cumbersome, to say the least.

I'll grant you, the HC2.0 Review layout sucks ballz (although it does seem a little better than it was a few months ago), and I ran into the exact same problem when I was buying my own Classic 30. But there are, for instance, over 300 reviews for the Fender Standard Strat, so I have to believe at least some of the old reviews are there. It has to be some sort of database problem, or else they just lost a portion of the older reviews at some point. A lot of the reviews have "last update" dates of the exact same day, which is probably the day they ported them over to the new site.
