Members edremy Posted December 12, 2010 Members Posted December 12, 2010 My bass has active pups and despite not getting anywhere near the playtime as my guitar it went through a battery in something like a month and a half. Any tricks to preserve them? Does turning off the master volume or unplugging the cord matter? I'd hate to have to pull the battery out every time I play just to get more than a month out of one.

When a plug is in the input the circuit is completed and power starts to flow. You should be getting at least a few months of play time on a battery.

Members Belva Posted December 12, 2010 Members Posted December 12, 2010 That's a few months of actual play time. Or up to 2 years actual life.
Members cratz2 Posted December 12, 2010 Members Posted December 12, 2010 Yeah, leave it unplugged. I think the number they throw out is something like 2,000 hours of play time per battery... Should get most people through a year or more.
