Members Pincookie1
My first Gibson. So pleased. They shipped it in a gibby case? Its a faded maple top.. which I thought was supposed to be a gig bag. So, I ordered a cheap musicians gear case. Got the musicians gear case today. A Christmas Miracle? New LP in case http://calaiscomputerplus.com/dan/pic1.jpg My small collection http://calaiscomputerplus.com/dan/pic2.jpg Sorry for the crap quality. Phone cam. Have a sweet day, and thanks for looking.

Members Deadbeat Son
How does it play? I realize it's still early, but are you satisfied with your first Gibby thus far?
Members notjonahbutnoah
Yeah, that's a nice one. HNGD! Studio right? When looking at the sides of the guitar, can you see where the mahogany ends and the maple top starts? 'Cause I love that for some reason. Nice score, you have a solid little collection. Get yourself some kind of 335 and you're set for while... well maybe a Gretsch, and a 12-String, and a....
Members Pincookie1
How does it play? I realize it's still early, but are you satisfied with your first Gibby thus far? Its fantastic. I haven't had any problems at all. Stays in tune, nice finish, everything is where it is supposed to be. One small blemish.. which I am not sure ins't on every gibson. Under the pickguard when I removed it, the screw that is near the neck pickup kinda scraped the finish a bit outside of the hole. Its not even noticeable from 2 feet away, under close scrutiny its obvious. Sounds wonderful through the dirt channel on the v22, haven't tried the jet city out yet it's at my bands practice area. All in all, very happy.

Members Pincookie1
looks great!congrats! Thanks, could it be that all this time I was a Gibson man, trapped in a Fender body?

Members Pincookie1
^ Very possible. My friend had a 70's era lp that never ever stayed in tune. So I got a bit of prejudice going. In hindsight, he didn't take the best care of his instruments. It was most likely abuse!
Members RaVenCAD
So much better in person. They are discontinued. Can't understand why. Obviously you are unfamiliar with Gibson's marketing strategy... 1 - Make cool product and see if it sells.2 - If it sells, discontinue it immediately and replace it with something like the Firebrand that'll never sell 1000 units.3 - If it sucks, keep it in the catalog for the next 20 years.
