Members axegrinder
Personally I'd contact Kurt and give him another chance...maybe he'll handpick one for you. Unless you aren't happy with the rest of the guitar. That fretboard is embarassing for Rondo...maybe even too bad to sell as B-stock. I assume such stinkers get returned to the factory. I've always wanted to try one of the 1-3/4" necks, and personally wouldn't shy away from Agile unless this was a rampant problem.
Members sylvesterlowery
Well, that was a disappointment. Had an Agile for less than 24 hours. back to searching for an electric with a 1-3/4" wide neck Well, maybe try swapping for another. Seeing as many have said that they had Agiles with great inlay work, it may be worth a gamble to swap for another example of the same model. Especially if you like the way the guitar sounds and plays. Maybe you got a Monday morning model, LOL!
Members mslmg
I've got an AL3500 and there's a considerable amount of filler on a few of them. Never noticed it before this thread because they're pretty level, but it's there and in the right light it's pretty apparent. Thanks for making me hate my guitar now. I suppose that if I had bought it new I'd be a lot more upset about it, but it was used and it's a great playing guitar. Please share pics, it will make you feel better! Members tiltsta
Wow, it almost looks like the forgot to do the filler entirely.
Members MrChitlins
And the tool marks on the frets. Horrible.
Members IBDBB
I'd return it as wellI've had many Agiles and never has one had inlays that looked that bad.

It was suggested that I get a refund instead of a replacement. I was impressed with the guitar. Ignoring the condition of the inlays, tool marks, the quality is exceptional. I was more concerned with the weight rather than anything else. Reading comments here and elsewhere, I believe this issue is an exception and not the rule. Members JTEES4
That was pretty bad....actually very bad. I do think that's unusual for the company though.

Members webwarmiller
That's unacceptable for even a $100 guitar.....much less one that cost $400. Email Kurt with pictures and be sure to point out the tool marks on the frets as well (3100's supposedly have hand filed...not butchered....frets). Just be very polite in your email regarding your disappointments with the guitar. I'm sure Kurt will be very disappointed with his supplier regarding that guitar. Members Scott Abene
Send it back! I would expect that quality from Epiphone/Gibson... Not Agile
Members SpaceProg
Send it back!I would expect that quality from Epiphone/Gibson... Not Agile I've NEVER played an Epi or Gibson that looked like that. Like I said, that's some of the worst work I've seen, aside from amature jobs. Members ExiledCrow
I'd send it back, and my favorite guitar at the moment is far from beautiful. I don't own any Agiles but many here do and no-one would be shy about sharing pics if they had gotten one like this. I haven't seen anything like this before, so I'd guess this is NOT something they would ship normally. Kurt enjoys a good rep around here as being straight forward and easy to work with. Give him another shot and I'd be shocked if he didn't do right by you.
Members Smilin' Bob
Inlays on my AS-820 are perfect, and of course my HARM has no inlays or dots. I'd exchange it.

Members Brewski
It's going back. Thanks everyone. Kurt will honor your swap - he wants his customers to be happy. ONE THING - please let me know when you send it back as I'll but it as a B stock I own a couple and love them significantly but they are not perfect - Well worth the money but not perfect!!! Members Metalrulez
Oh no say it ain't so!! An Agi.....make that a guitar no matter the make with an actual workmanship and quality control/final inspection issue and photos to back it up?? No way!! Members JTEES4
And why would you expect that? I've seen proof with the Agile......where is the proof for the Epiphone/Gibson? I've been playing 40+ years and have never seen and Epi or Gibson even close to that. Not a Fender or Squier either for that matter. Not even any guitar other than maybe a child's toy. Members i386
I've been eyeballing the AL-3100's and AL-3000M's for the past few weeks. There are not as many of the models I'm interested in to choose from as there were just a few weeks ago. That tells me they're getting near the end of their stock and the ones left may have already been passed over a few times already. I still plan to buy one but I think I will wait until I see the inventory levels rise and then ask Kurt to hand pick one for me. I'm willing to send back a couple until I'm satisfied or get a refund if it just doesn't happen.

Rondo doesn't inspect or pick through their guitars, and boxes are only opened if they are sold with (and shipped in) a case. However the guitar left the factory is exactly how you will find it. This is why Rondo can sell guitars at such a low price, and is why they have such a liberal return/exchange policy.

My AL-3100 or AL-3000M WILL ship in a case. If they want to send me a flawed one they're going to get it right back. The might as well check it and save us both some trouble.
