Members mslmg
I apologize in advance if this has been beaten to death. Anyway, just got my new Agile AL-3100 yesterday. The only issue I have with the guitar is with the crudeness of inlay filler (or lack of). I did some research and it seems that there have been reports of this. It appears excessive. Comments please. Thx. Here are some pics:
Members Oaksong
That is a bit excessive. Your choice about sending it back for another one or keeping it. Me, I dont really care. Nobody can see it from stage. But if it bothers you... send it back. It has to make YOU happy first or you won't play it.
Members mrbrown49
I'd send that back. Looks like there are some pretty big dents in the fret wire in pic 3 as well.
Members jrfan
Well that certainly looks worse than on an al2000 I had a few years back. If it bugs you send it back to Rondo.
Members d_dave_c
I think I'd send that back, personally.
Members harold heckuba
I dont have any more Agiles as they were too heavy for my liking. But I had a few at one point and they all had beautiful inlay work. That was one of the things I looked for when I would check out a new Agile arrival. Great fretwork too. Mine were all ones with the different headstock shape, maybe they were better quality.
Members Mister Crow
I'm usually pretty easy on inlay/filler issues, but that does seem excessive to me. I'd send that one back
Members JR13
I'd send it back.
Members linusâ„¢
the Valkyrie i had, its inlays had a good amount of filler. though it was mostly flush.
Members PsychWarfare
That would bug me and I'd have to send it back... I can tolerate some filler but that looks sloppy...
Members madrigal77
That's horrible. Send that back right away. My bro has two AL-3000's and the fretboards are perfect.
Members Raxus Prime
I'd send it back.
Members Slave2TheAudio
Yeah, I agree with people who are saying "send it back"
Members Tupelo Son
Yeah, that's not good. I had an ad2000 jr and there was excessive filler...but like the other dude's it was professionally done and flush for the most part so I let it slide. But man, yours looks unacceptable to me. I'd send that one back.

Members Mav64
I'm far from a perfectionist but that's a bit excessive. I'd see about returning...
Members dc*
If it was an exceptional player I might see if they'd knock some money off due to how poor the inlay work is. However if not it would be going straight back and I'd expect them to eat the shipping cost as well as provide a full refund.
Members jrfan
My past experience with Rondo is they will give you no problems on a return.Email them your pics.
Members mfergel
Yeah, none of my agiles have looked like that. They've all been level with the fretboard.
Members ajcoholic
I'd send that back. Looks like there are some pretty big dents in the fret wire in pic 3 as well. looks like heavy file marks. yikes..
Members SpaceProg
Wow, someone at the factory had a bad case of the "don't give a damns". I've never seen inlay work that bad, and I've played guitars from Squiers to Country Gentlemen.
Members mslmg
Well, that was a disappointment. Had an Agile for less than 24 hours. back to searching for an electric with a 1-3/4" wide neck
Members ashasha
I've got an AL3500 and there's a considerable amount of filler on a few of them. Never noticed it before this thread because they're pretty level, but it's there and in the right light it's pretty apparent. Thanks for making me hate my guitar now. I suppose that if I had bought it new I'd be a lot more upset about it, but it was used and it's a great playing guitar.
