Merry Christmas everyone.

I was very good last year, so Santa left me a 1961 Fender Stratocaster in original (not refin) Lake Placid Blue.

:)

Sadly, I must not have been that good because pretty much everything aside from the body, neck, neck plate and pickups has been replaced.

Merry Christmas!

Aside from my broke-ass girlfriend and her parents, I don't have many people who give me presents... so this Fernandes Vertigo is my gift to myself.

I'll do a proper NGD on it but for now the phone pic is all I got.

For the record, it is awesome. Right on par with my Gibson, I plan on gigging with it as my #1.

I treated myself as well...I picked up a mint Korean Hamer Standard on CL.

Very cool...Already set with USA Duncans, 59 neck and a mystery bridge pup, probably a JB?...Anyway not in the same league as my old USA explorers (I no longer have) but nice just the same, enought to satisfy my boner for a explorer, especially for two and a bush.

I beleive the neck and body are maple?

My friends and family - I love 'em all, but they don't have a musical bone in their bodies. So, I've never gotten anything guitarwise (other than a book on playing fingerstyle delta blues my parents gave me for Xmas back in 1981 or 82) for Christmas. I got a bonus from work at the company Christmas party on Thursday, so I decided to treat myself with a "Merry Christmas from me to me" present. I haven't had an acoustic guitar for about 4 years, so I got a Washburn WB400SWK baby jumbo (the photo is not distorted - the guitar [which is based upon a 1930s Larson Brothers jumbo] really does look like that). It sounds great!
