Members vintage clubber
that sucks! WTF is wrong with people?! We had a similar incident a few years back here in Richmond VA when former House of Freaks guitarist and his family were brutally murdered during a home invasion on New Years Day. I believe the perps have already been executed. http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?1125379-Former-House-of-Freaks-guitar-player-and-family-murdered-over-the-weekend&highlight=house+of+freaks

Members axegrinder
Hmmm yeah that story sounds incredibly fishy. Of course it lacks many details that would (or should) come out during investigation. Also, the story does not classify this as a "home invasion" robbery, but rather a burglary. It also doesn't indicate who's gun(s) were involved. Bottom line: 63 year old, marathon-running engineers are about the last people you'd expect to take up burglary. Members aliensporebomb
Might be a sign of the times that the bad economy is causing people to take desperate measures. Terrible. I saw him play with Eric in ALC live a few years ago and he was a terrific drummer. It's sad that there's not going to be an electromagnets reunion now because of this. Sigh. The tone of that story is alarming. Seems like they are trying to paint a picture of the intruder as a victim here. We don't know all the facts, but regardless of the intruders mental issues, one thing we do know is that he forced his way into someone else's home. Now maybe he was the nicest 60ish man in the world who just so happened to forget to take a pill and that made him crazy enough to do something like this, but his actions led to an innocent mans death. I can't see how the intruder could walk away from this with no charges; that would be an alarming injustice.

Members cratz2
Man... that sucks even more than if it had just been a POS burglar. I don't think the article was trying to portray the intruder as a victim at all, it was just saying the guy had issues (obviously) and the 'system' failed in this instance.
