Members JohnQ
It belongs to a buddy of mine and he wants me to install a pickup and fit a bridge of some sort. The only markings on the guitar are a made in Japan sticker on the back of the headstock and some residual glue on the face of the headstock that is shaped like a K. Members carmetal
i'm not really sure, though....the "made in japan" sticker throws me off, as EKO's were made in italy...here's what an EKO 500-1 would look like up close: http://www.fetishguitars.com/html/eko/500/nocciola_1.html

I don't think anyone is under the impression that it's anything but that. But thanks for the great insight:thu:

Members sylvesterlowery
I wouldn't say it's junk, but it is a cheapo Japanese guitar from the late 60's to early 70's. Originally came in either a one or two pickup configuration. It's a Kent Polara. I had the two pickup version, it was my very first electric guitar. Thanks for the info, the amount of different Japanese guitars from that era is mind boggling. I had no idea. Really I'm just trying to find a picture of one in complete condition so I can see what the bridge looked like.
