Members ashasha
I don't know what it is, but I'm absolutely not interested in more gear of any kind right now. I went over to the DMV earlier today to get some stuff done and they were closed so I stopped by GC. Had a bunch of crap in there, but I only picked up one guitar and that was because I had never seen it before. It was a beat to {censored} MIK Squier that had a body similar to once of those S-series Ibanez, was loaded with SD pickups and had a Floyd Rose special on it and a crazy paint job. Of course the guy comes over and was all "I really like the skull knobs on it". I stopped him and just told him that I wanted to see it and wasn't interested in buy the thing and we both kind of laughed. Ever since I bought my N4 and AxeFX the other month I find myself wanting for stuff a lot less. Heck I just really don't want anything. Not even for Christmas. I don't know if it's being tired of buying stuff or just being really happy with my stuff right now. Anyone else going through the same thing? Members PsychWarfare
What I'm interested in guitar-wise is extremely limited...it would really force my hand to part with money for anything out there at the moment... However...amps are a different story...there are a few lower wattage head/cab mini-stacks that I'd like to pick up over the coming months...notably a Dual Terror and an Orange 112 and a Traynor Darkhorse set-up... However...I primarily need a 212 for the SL-X head at the moment... All of this does represent a great reduction in my GAS from a few months ago though... I'm pretty happy playing one of a few guitars through the Bugera V22 plugged into the Marshall 2061cx
Members Shiny_Surface
It gets old after awhile, at least for me. Constantly buying and shipping stuff gets to be like work/stress, especially shipping. It's a vicious cycle and some love to be caught up in it, sometimes it's intoxicating and other times a pointless drag.
Members guitarman3001
I recently got the only thing I was really looking for - a LP goldtop- so now I'm not really gasing for anything but that doesn't stop me from looking for the next thing that's gonna give me gas. There's a ton of things I'd buy if I had the disposable income and wanted some toys to play around with but nothing that I absolutely gotta have. Members Doctor Morbius
Although buying can be a lot of fun, selling them off is a huge pain and that's what's killed most of my GAS.
Members Grantus
With Christmas money, I purchased five or six pedals, so my gas has subsided, at least for the moment.
Members Carbohydrates
I need an AC15 to replace the AC30 I sold. I'm good aside from that. I'm actually selling a lot more than I'm buying - cutting down to 2 amps, a Fender and a Vox; and 4 electrics: a strat, an LP, a Jazzmaster, and an archtop. I haven't gassed after anything for months and months. I already have the perfect strat and the perfect LP, what more do I really need?
Members ashasha
Yeah, shipping out a bunch of gear tends to suck. I sold off a ton of crap a few months ago and it was like non stop trips to the UPS Store. I was basically given permission from the old lady to get whatever I wanted for Christmas...I bought a tremol-no a few weeks before that got here on Christmas Eve. I suppose that was my present. I just couldn't think of anything that I wanted.
Members datru
The more stuff I get, the more I realize I don't need more stuff. I got a Vox Lil' Night Train from the wife for Christmas. It's a neat little amp and can produce some good sounds, but I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. It's just that I don't really need it. I think I want to sell off some stuff to simplify things. I'm also realizing that I would rather have one very nice guitar than 3 or 4 cheap ones. Members Chad
I have an AxeFx too. I don't gas much for amps and pedals, but still do a lot for guitars. I'll agree buying and selling is a pain, but I always hope to find that perfect instrument at a good price. After about 40 guitars, I'm getting closer to realizing what that is: a non-pointy, 25.5" superstrat with a Jackson USA Soloist neck carve and HSS pickup configuration. Thinking I probably need to pony up for a Suhr or Anderson, but I'm not sure if they could replicate the Jackson neck carve without charging massive $$. Members EllenGtrGrl
Any GAS I have at the moment, is pretty low grade. I went through a lot of guitar hassles lately, and I'm perfectly happy with my Fender Champ 25 SE amp, now that I have a clean boost to drive it to insane levels of gain. Besides, once again that car accident I was in 31 years ago, has reared up it's ugly head, and I'm in the midst of dealing with MORE dental work, as a result of it, anything I'd want, I can wait for - it's not the end of the world if I don't have it now. Members cratz2
Honestly, yeah... I'm pretty happy. I have a Blackface-voiced Fender, a Tweed-voiced Fender and a nice AC15. Have a handful of guitars that I'm very happy with and I just got the HD500 which, though I have about 10 presets tweaked to cover my wants and needs, I will likely never even scratch the surface of what all it can do. Having said that... I only have a cheapy tele and I'm currently buying pieces to build up something semi-custom and pretty non-traditional. And I'm having a strat body refinished like Jimi's Monterey Pop strat so I'll finish that when I get it back. I kick around the idea of buying Doc Morbius's Vibrosonic and selling my Twin... And I also really want to get an amp head of some sort... leaning towards the Mesa Transatlantic... And I'm head over heals in love with the Dr Z Prescription Jr with a Brake Lite... but if I get that, I'll probably sell the AC. And I want to get a better reverb pedal... probably a Neunaber... Damn... maybe I do still have some GAS. Not too bad though.

Members GAS Man
Yeah, although I do have 2 axes on pre-order, but I'm on the fence about one of them. I should probably come to my senses and pull the plug with one of them, but the GAS is still pushing me on a bit. But yeah, not much left on the horizon that I haven't already Jones'd for and gotten. Sometimes I get worked up over something but I'm able to chill more often now than I used to. It helps when you're running out of money and space. Lately I've been more into pedals. It's about the only thing I have any space left for. Eventually I'll be down to just picks. But I think everyone should have run out and got a DC59 Dano, - did you? did you? I was just playing mine again and it was definitely my best "bang for the buck" of 2010, and I didn't even get in on the two-fiddy deal , but I'm still happy with mine at the tree-fiddy MAP. Nice guitar. Sam Ash may get some more in. Light your jets.
Members GreatDane
all the gear i bought and sold this year has really put the hurt on my remaining GAS vibes (which had all but died off in recent years as my collection has gotten to where i've always wanted it to be). i have a "wouldn't it be nice" list, but the true rivoting effects of GAS are no longer there. seriously. Members Elias Graves
I'm good. Finally getting my two main guitars really where I want them. Now, I pick up other guitars and like mine even more. Having guitars set up really well and tweaked just so you like it is a pleasure. EG

Members ashasha
It's not a lack of GAS, it's a lack of cash. And see this is where I think that this whole thread started for me, because right now at this very moment I am not rich, but I'm pretty comfortable and actually have some funds laying around that could be turned into some gear. I'm not talking about Custom Shop {censored}, but I could go out and buy a few guitars right now and not have to necessarily sell off stuff or starve my kid to do it.The AxeFX has killed amp and pedal GAS, I am happy about that, but I didn't think that I'd ever run out of guitar GAS. I don't have a huge collection, but I think that the last few pieces have really just fit the bill perfectly for me. I'm not struggling to get a tone or dislike how something sounds or plays for the first time in my life. I think that I need to find something that sucks about my gear before I buy again. ....but with that said I do remember that single P90 in the bridge thread the other day....I don't have me one of those right now. Members Jarick
I'm also realizing that I would rather have one very nice guitar than 3 or 4 cheap ones. That reminds me of when Soundgarden broke up and Chris Cornell said he had about a dozen '52 reissue Teles because they had so many tunings, so he sold them all and bought a real '52 Tele. Now that Soundgarden's back together, did he have to buy a bunch more?

Now that Soundgarden's back together, did he have to buy a bunch more? I'm sure that he can get a 12 months same as cash thing going since he's probably strapped for cash. Does seem kind of weird that he'd have to sell off gear to fund something to me.
