Members Invader.CC
Well the PRS SE Soapbar II is gone i traded it this afternoon for a very nice excellent condition Deluxe Player Strat..The PRS was an excellent guitar but i never played it much..Bottom line i think i just prefer Strats.. This Strat needed some major bench time before playing..After doing some clean up and a complete setup and intonation the guitar was able to show its true colors of an excellent sounding and playing guitar. I mostly prefer white Strats with maple necks. So this is a departure from normal to me..I must say though i really like the 12 inch neck and even though it doesn't show it well on the picture the finish is fantastic with some really nice wood grain.. I also really like the split tuners and surprisingly i actually like the gold hardware ..It looks good with the finish and the 4 ply tortoise pickguard..The one thing that is a bit of a disappointment is the switch that allows you to have an extra 2 pickup selections. It supposedly allows you to run the bridge and neck together in the 4th position then the 5th position it allows all three..The only problem is it sounds like it robs power from the pickups in the process so i can't see were this is really usable.. Other than that i really think the Noiseless pups sound excellent ..So all in all i'm pretty happy with the trade.. ' alt='>'> ' alt='>'>

Members DaleH
HNGD nice strat. Ash body on those grain pops nice.Having all 3 pups is nice when recording, nice full sound. The 2 pickups in series should sound louder.

Members Alecto
Great trade. Yeah, as much as I like humbuckers, I've realized that I'm a Strat guy as well. Incredibly versatile and moddable guitars, and they cut through a crowded mix like a hot knife through butter. HNGD!
Members Flatspotter
Hot! HNGD! I have a '57 RI Strat with Kinman noiseless pickups, and it has a blend pot that does the same thing as your switch. I've never noticed any loss of volume (if that's what you meant) when blending in the neck pickup.

Members Sheraton
I've had a couple of those including one that looks exactly like yours that my brother has now. Nice guitars and I'm sure I'll have another one some day. Like Dale H says, the 5 position with switch engaged (bridge & neck) should be as loud as regular 2 or 4 but the all 3 position a little quieter. Also had a PRS SE Soapbar II that I liked "kind of" but traded it for a G&L Tribute Strat for the same reasons. BTW, is it me or has the quality of HNGD pics gone way up lately? Members Guitar Heel
HNGD! These are great Strats. I had one that I loved, and then my Dad fell in love with it too, so I gave it to him to play.
Members Invader.CC
Update to the previous review..I have now pulled the pickguard off and open inspection found a crack in the soldier joint on the push button switch after applying a quick soldier fix it now is working in all seven positions correctly..I'm not one really to buy into hype but i have to tell ya there is something to these deluxe player strats..The tone of this guitar is far more articulate then any of my other Strats with single strings sounding out very pronounced even when playing chords..My guess is this is due to a combination of the ASH body and vintage noiseless pickups..I'm really liking this guitar although i'm still not sure what i'm going to use it for or how it fits in my arsenal of Strats. Members Lonnie99
I just picked up a mint one these 2 days ago as well. Mind is the Sapphire Blue Transparent. My button doesn't do much either, need to look under the hood.

If you get into some recording it will find it's place. A mic really picks up the notes with those pickups.
