Danelectro Wiring Help

I recently switched the bridge pickup on my 63 reissue, and figured I might as well change the switch, volume pot and tone pot while I was at it. Problem is, I can't find a single wiring diagram that can help me out here... It's 2 lipstick single coil pickups (Neck is stock, Bridge is a GFS) going through a 3-way switch into a no-load volume pot and Torres super midrange. The pickups have the 3-wire deal going on with them (so that you can get them together in series). I tried checking Seymour Duncan's website, but they only have instructions for individual volume and tone pots listed.

Anyone have any idea how to wire it so I still get both pickups in series? The switch is a standard Gibson 3-way, not the cheap import that came with it. Thank you for your help!

Yeah - good luck. Nathan Daniels [the Dan in Danelectro] was an electrical genius credited with designing such things as one of the classic tube amp circuits - Class AB IIRC. As such he approached wiring from a Negative voltage perspective and those wiring schemes were also carried over to his guitar circuits. The Dano reissues have stayed true to the originals and there is very little doc on them. I have a reissue double-neck that gives me such a headache [the wiring] I just leave it alone. Chances are, you're better off gutting it and rewiring it from scratch using a more modern scheme than trying to reverse engineer what you've got.

That said, you may find Spencer over at Danguitars.com to be of some help, if you ask nicely.

Good luck!
