Members Steadfastly
I sold a MIA telecaster because I found myself picking up my Squier CV tele every single time I went to pick up a guitar.a good guitar is a good guitar, regardless of what's on the headstock. You don't play the headstock, do you? So sensible! I don't understand why people pay $1000.00, 2000.00 and $3000.00 for a guitar when you can get just as good a guitar for a lot, lot less. They have more money than brains, I guess. Members Alecto
Even though inexpensive guitars have much better QC then when I was a lad (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth!), the weakest element tends to be the electronics. So, with a lot of the lower-end brands, you need to budget for a pickup/electronics swap. The great guitar deals generally tend to be: - Godin. Okay, their prices are climbing but they're still an awesome bang-for-buck.- ESP/LTD. The EC-50 I bought for my nephew two years ago was a stunning instrument for - Reverend. I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on a $400 Volcano.- Yamaha. I saw a used AES-620 in the Spam thread. Anyone with any brains should jump on that STAT! Members profgalen
I think my Godin Session was a very good deal at $500. Godin can hold it's own to any U.S. production guitar IMO. I really like my Hofner CT Club I stole for $255 new, also.
Members treedroppings
my gibson 'the paul2' was 550 after taxes my fender lite ash strat was 600 w/setup (springs and strings) //of course i paid extra for the boteek bucker and electronics afterwards! my matsumoku 'aria pro2' cost $200 in 2009 for an '84 vintage strat style w/red 'sparkle' paint [even on the back of the neck!!] my mesa boogie mk 1combo was a trade for my triple xxx combo (needed work tho')
Frets99
What's wrong with you, Radomu? You a crazy loonatic or sumpin? Goodness gracious, young man, save up your money and only by guitars created by the impeccable magical qualities of a 'murrican" hand. From what I hear, you will never be sorry and you will save our country in the process for which, as a spokesman for Uncle Sam, I can extend a hale and hearty thank you. if you are in here to make PP style trouble, just remember... Members FoonkySteve
Is this tread about me?I Jest of course, but seriously, im always on the look out for a cheapie diamond. Most of the great cheapies come home with me:thu:I Have a Fenix (yeung chan-spelling?) strat, and its a GREAT guitar, unfortunately, it sounds better than my U.S. strat, and that annoys the corksniffer in me:mad:

Members plasticscouse
Perhaps go towards the non American brands. They may offer more for the money. Hfners are brilliant examples, the CT Series made in the Far east, but brilliant guitars. Burns also comes to mind, but that's on more shaky information
